Dr Max Ryder has been part of the Whitsunday Region since 2019, providing care that spans both hospital and general practice settings. Working as a Rural Generalist Obstetrician at Proserpine Hospital, he cares for women through every stage of pregnancy — offering antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to families across the region.

Alongside obstetric care, Dr Ryder has a special interest in palliative care, and is committed to supporting patients and their families through end-of-life care in the comfort of their own homes with the support of their family.

Recognising the demands of rural practice, Dr Ryder offers limited in-room consultations, with Telehealth follow-up available for urgent matters — ensuring patients can access timely care regardless of location.
